Books Of The Bible Poster

By studying the layout of the books on the shelves, you can very quickly become acquainted with the organization of the Bible. The Bible is divided into an Old and New Testament. The Old Testament contains a library of 39 books and the New Testament contains a library of 27 books. The books are grouped into categories or classifications. Books of the Old Testament are grouped into books of Law, History, Poetry, Major Prophets and Minor Prophets. Books of the New Testament are grouped into books of Gospels, History, Pauline Epistles, General Epistles, and Prophecy.

By examining the illustrations around the outer edges, you can catch a glimpse of God's master plan for man. To chronologically examine the illustrations, begin with "God Gave His Word" and follow the illustrations counter clockwise through "Rebuilding the Walls." Then return to "God Gave His Word" and proceed clockwise to "The New Jerusalem." A description for these images can be found here and also here.

A brief commentary about each of the illustrations is given on the reverse side of the poster. This commentary provides only a glimpse into the Word, but hopefully will help in your understanding of what the Bible is all about.

The Bible declares that:

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (II Timothy 3:16-17)

and, that

"No prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." (II Peter 1:20-21)
